Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
At Swalcliffe Park, we believe that different thinking is needed to improve the lives of our students and their families. We agree with the Autism Education Trust who say that everyone with autism is entitled to a good education and a good quality of life.
We want all our students to be happy, healthy and empowered young people. So, we think it is essential to ask them about what matters to them, what makes them happy and what they would like to do with their lives. We listen to what they tell us and we support them to work towards their personal goals.
We also think it is important to work closely with families. So, we ask them about the impact of autism on family life, about what they would like to do but currently can’t, and about what is important to them. We listen to what they tell us and try to find ways to help.
We know that working together in this way leads to brighter futures for our students and their parents. For more information about how we use our Quality of Life framework to support students and their families please see the Quality of Life section of the website.
We hope that by visiting and exploring our website you will be able to get a sense of what life at Swalcliffe Park School is like. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to arrange a visit or require more information.
